  1. First, what's a Downscale Filter? What's OBS filtering? What are we DOWNscaling?

  2. Why isn't "Bilinear" stated with a number then "samples", like the other three filters?

  3. I won't list out all my questions here. But what are "samples"? In "Area", "Weighted sum" of what? I found Lanczos resampling on Wikipedia, but that math is too complicated for me.

I Googled this, but all the answers were too complicated like Which downscale filter to use? and Are you using the Lanczos downscale filter in OBS? It might be making your stream look worse.

Is obs referring to Open Broadcaster Software? Also, you should try to keep your questions more focused (try asking about a single concept or issue). Alexei‭ about 1 month ago

I'm going to close this; as Alexei said, try splitting your questions into multiple more detailed posts. ArtOfCode‭ about 1 month ago
