Welcome to the Power Users community on Codidact!

Power Users is a Q&A site for questions about the usage of computer software and hardware. We are still a small site and would like to grow, so please consider joining our community. We are looking forward to your questions and answers; they are the building blocks of a repository of knowledge we are building together.

help page

Recently, most of questions got lot of downvotes(Even, this didn't happen to any other Codidact sub-site). In Q&A site's questions have 12 upvotes and 17 downvotes. I think most of people confused of on-topic. I had added a image of help page. I think if there was any documentation on on-topic than, users could know what type of questions are allowed in this site.

  1. What type of questions are on-topic in this site (Power Users)?
  2. A on-topic documentation request.

I think for most of the questions other reasons (rather than being off-topic) lead to being downvoted. Off-topic questions tend to be flagged and closed, not necessarily downvoted.

@Alexei actually, i had flagged some question to migrate and, mistakenly flagged a question. The staffs don't have mods. Maybe, staffs are in "confusion". Even, they could decline the flag easily which i flagged by mistakenly. Otherwise, they haven't active yet maybe

I expect the downvotes were for poorly asked or poorly researched questions, not because they were off topic. A large number of such questions showed up here in the last day, many making too many assumptions and missing obvious context. I think I only downvoted one of them, but did think about more. The one that really got me was where the only tag was "software". Gee, thanks for clarifying. That narrows it right down!
