Trouble Running Diablo 2 resurrected on Windows 10 Home

Surprisingly, I am having trouble running Diablo 2 Resurrected with pretty much the lowest graphic details and I believe that this has to do with Nvidia Gforce 940MX being too "weak" for the task.

I understand that these days, nearly 2022, I could purchase an external GPU.
Should any external GPU help me to run Diablo 2 with medium or high graphics settings smoothly (around 60 frame per second)?

Why exactly do you think it's your computer/gfx card? Will the game launch? Is the screen lagging or showing weird graphics? If it's just lag then if you are lucky there's one particular setting you can tweak that makes a big difference. If it won't launch at all, then the problem could be anything. Also always update Nvidia drivers to latest stable version for your gfx card.

It's lagging in game due to graphics. I didn't manually upgrade the drivers a few months but I believe it's not the issue and won't do so (if I am not mistaken in Windows 10 drivers are upgraded automatically).

deleted user If it's a brand new game (or well re-make in this case), then Nvidia might have released optimizations for that particular game. But usually such optimizations are rather minor. Also if it's a new game it could simply be poorly optimized, and if you are lucky future patches will increase performance.
