In Microsoft Word, how do I systematically add space before the Footnote Superscript?

Undoubtedly, it's too unproductive to add spaces manually before each Footnote SuperScript.

I clicked on Manage Styles, but see no option to add such spaces PRODUCTIVELY. Word grayed out "Paragraph" that I can't click on!

Please think twice before saying "undoubtedly"

I'm all for letting people express themselves, so please don't take this as an attempt at censorship because it really isn't, but please, think twice before you use the word "undoubtedly" when introducing whatever problem you are asking about. You tend to use that one a lot in questions that you post. At best, it's redundant; at worst, it comes off as imposing your opinion on others. If something truly undoubtedly was "too unproductive", then whoever makes the software would make the software do something else by default, or would offer an obvious customization setting somewhere. I suggest to instead write something along the lines of "I know I can get the same effect by doing /something/, but in my situation that takes too much time because /whatever reason/" which, besides that it doesn't state an opinion as a fact, actually provides relevant information that can help inform answers.
