How to track down target atom for svg to pass to xclip
Background
The xclip manual mentions use of targets:
-t, -target specify a particular data format using the given target atom. With -o the special target atom name "TARGETS" can be used to get a list of valid target atoms for this selection. For more information about target atoms refer to ICCCM section 2.6.2
But examples show a different format from what is shown in ICCCM section 2.6.2.
Question
How do I figure out what the target atom is for an svg? Especially by
using the documentation (man xclip
).
Tried
The manual mentioned:
With -o the special target atom name "TARGETS" can be used to get a list of valid target atoms for this selection.
but running:
xclip -i visualization.png
xclip -o -t TARGETS
gives:
TARGETS
UTF8_STRING
