Is the mouse cursor in the Power User logo an accessibility problem?

+2
−1

I noticed when arriving on the Power User site that my mouse cursor looks very similar in size, shape, and colour to the one in the logo:

My mouse cursor next to the one in the Power User logo

This doesn't present a problem for me personally (apart from the initial momentary confusion), but it made me wonder whether it's likely to cause any problems for other people in future.

This mouse pointer confused me to no end. I can't count how often I was looking for my mouse on the screen and wondering why it wouldn't move - solved the problem by blocking the image with my adblocker :)

Might be worth making this an answer, so people can vote on it to measure support.

Even though it's not a problem for you anymore with your adblocker solution, it sounds like new visitors may have the same problem you had.

trichoplax‭ Done :)

Haha funny thing... Never occurred to me because I set default zoom at 110% so the cursor on the picture becomes larger than my actual cursor, but yes at a smaller zoom level I can confirm they look the same here on Debian. Which is no surprise, given the window decorations and purple background I guess it is a screen shot from a Ubuntu terminal.

Quasímodo‭ I'm doing exactly the opposite: 80% default zoom so I can have the browser on one half of the screen without the buttons in the topbar vanishing :)
