I can't turn on cellular data for postpaid sim card

I was trying to start mobile cellular data. It's been a year I can't turn it on. Usually, I am currently using Postpaid sim card. When I was using Prepaid sim card than, I could turn mobile cellular data. I was reading the article. They said to change APN protocol. I have reset APN. But, I can't find anyway to configure existing APN protocol for Airtel sim card. But, I can't create a new one. They had said to Opt For a Factory Reset. I had reset my mobile 5-6 months ago. In the article, they had said to Reset Your Phone’s Network Connection by the "code" ##72786# then, I am getting connection problem or invalid MMI code. My sim card is 3G. I don't think that "I didn't make it 4G that's why I am getting the problem" (cause, my prepaid sim card was 3G either). I don't have any data limit also. I have rebooted my mobile thousand times. My mobile isn't in safe mode also. Sim card isn't expired also.

Does phone support the frequencies? (2 comments)
Does phone support the frequencies?
matthewsnyder‭ wrote 10 months ago

There is actually not just one "3G" or "4G" but an array of frequencies in each "generation". Not all phones can receive all freqs, and not all carriers broadcast every freq from their towers. So if your phone supports 3G freqs A, B, C and your carrier likes D, E the 3G won't work.

Kimovil has a good summary of what frequencies each phone supports by country and carrier. But keep in mind also that just because a carrier is listed as having some freqs, doesn't mean the towers in your area will have all of those freqs.

However, if frequencies were the problem, you wouldn't see the 3G in your status bar. So presumably you do have some compatible frequency... But since your screenshot has 3G working, what's the problem?
