- I intermediately have a problem with DuckDuckGo. Instead of showing me the list of search results it sometimes directly jumps to one of the search results, without giving me a chance to check if the web address looks reasonable.
One example of such an automatic redirect is if I search for `ameref`:- https://duckduckgo.com/?q=%5C%40namedef
- This will land me on another site, even tough I would rather see a list of search results.
- Can this behaviour be switched off somehow?
- P.S. I have already switched off "Instant Answers"

Switch off automatic redirection to search result in DuckDuckGo
I intermediately have a problem with DuckDuckGo. Instead of showing me the list of search results it sometimes directly jumps to one of the search results, without giving me a chance to check if the web address looks reasonable. One example of such an automatic redirect is if I search for `\nameref`: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=%5C%40namedef This will land me on a Q&A site, even tough I would rather see a list of search results. Can this behaviour be switched off somehow? P.S. I have already switched off "Instant Answers" ![Screenshot of the instant answer setting in the duckduckgo preferences](https://powerusers.codidact.com/uploads/qhkvTtUyRhyWvhyrpwGmYk1x)
