Q&A How can I command my Lenovo laptop — NOT a ThinkPad — to stop charging the battery, at a maximum cap level of my choice?

  • I also have a Lenovo laptop, purchased in 2018, and it does allow me to set the limit to charge to. Here is a screen shot of the Lenovo Vantage program:

  • I leave mine set to 70% except when traveling where I might rely on the battery for long times. In that case, I disable this feature, then return it to 70% when I get home.
