Turn off proofing for quotations in Word
When directly quoting somebody, I would like to quote them verbatim, and their writing style often clashes with Word's style/grammar checker. While I can manually ignore them, the squiggly lines always pop back up when I reopen the document.
I would like to keep corrections on for non-quotation text, but the squiggly lines in the quotations distract me from the actually useful suggestions. Is there a way to automatically turn off corrections for only quotations in Microsoft Word?

If you want to suppress the squiggly lines for a certain part of your document, select that part and then choose Review/Language/Set Proofing Language and tick "Do not check spelling or grammar". That will switch the squiggly lines off for this part.
