Is there a program for systematically testing keyboard function?
My keyboard is getting old and occasionally I notice the key presses don't quite register. This keyboard uses membrane switches so I can see how they would wear out after a while and not be as responsive. I haven't been able to take careful note of which keys exactly are failing and how often. Is there a program I can use to quickly and systematically detect if any of my keys are not working? For example, maybe it's a program that asks me to type various phrases, like [Typing of the Dead](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Typing_of_the_Dead), and after it's collected enough data does some basic statistical analysis to detect keys that seem prone to missing keypresses (with the assumption that errors are due to keyboard issues, not user error). I could simply install a game like *Typing of the Dead*, play it with my current keyboard, export scores, repeat with another reference keyboard, run some statistical tests... But the question is, has someone made a program that does all this already?
