start an application in PowerShell, and keep it open after closing PowerShell
I have to use Windows for work. I am trying to start the Rancher Desktop application from Powershell, and keep it open after I close Powershell. My Powershell command looks like this:
Start-Process "C:\Program Files\Rancher Desktop\Rancher Desktop.exe"
This command will open the Rancher Desktop application window, but the problem is that when I close Powershell, Rancher Desktop will close.
For whatever reason, if I run the same command with a different executable, such as Firefox or Putty or VLC, then the application window will stay open. So this only seems to be a problem with certain applications such as Rancher Desktop.
**How do I make it so Rancher Desktop will stay open after closing Powershell?**
