- Don't hide it, act on it.
The icon in question indicates that a reboot is required to finish updates. Reboot, and it is gone. Until you reboot you are still at risk regarding security issues that have been fixed in the installed updates. Not rebooting will also prevent future updates being installed until the machine is rebooted.- By hiding the icon you only gain:
- - not knowing that a reboot is required
- - not knowing that updates aren't being installed
- All in all it's more harm than benefit to hide it.
- Don't hide it, act on it.
