Why does copying an image from Chrome and pasting it into MS Paint reduce its quality, and how can I prevent this?

When I copy an image in Chrome:

and paste it into MS Paint, the quality is reduced:

Image_alt_text

Why, and how can I prevent that?

I use Windows 11 24H2 Pro, Paint 11.2412.311.0 and a MSI GS76 Stealth 11UH laptop.

Preset Paint file resolution?

Is it pasted into an MS Paint file preset to a specific resolution, as an object? Possibly it automatically downsizes the picture to fit into that object/file? I haven't used Windows in almost a year, so I can't test or verify it, thus I comment instead of writing an answer, at least for now.

Andreas demands justice for humanity‭ thanks, no, if I paste into Paint a 4k img, no pb, Paint won't lower the res.
