Are questions about web application such as Google Docs on topic? What about Overleaf? GitHub? Where do we draw the line between a webapp and just a website?

I am not sure of web applications (Google Docs, GitHub). But, Overleaf is Latex. I will move Latex to Software Codidact.

Is Latex a programming? I found a source :

Many people dismiss this question directly with a no. But I say the answer is not that simple and depending on how you practice LaTeX can definitely be ‘yes’ much more than you might think!

SIMPLE LATEX IS LIKE MARKUP, ADVANCED LATEX IS MORE LIKE PROGRAMMING

And, Software Codidact is for markup(known languages HTML) language also. So, Overleaf is off-topic here. And, that's on-topic in Software Codidact.

Are questions about web application such as Google Docs on topic?

It is not easy to answer from my view. My first answer will be,"answer of the above question completely depend on question". Beginner questions (How to use it? What is best webapps? How to earn from this site? Is this site legit?) is off-topic in this site.

On-topic sample question :

  1. I could use web.whatsapp.com in normal window. But, QR code isn't appearing in Private Window.
  2. I could access the site few hours ago. But, I can't access it. My network connection is OK. I tried with VPN also. The domain isn't expired. Or, the developer didn't "stop" the site or, banned me. Although, why I can't access it?
  3. Codidact meta isn't showing in Chrome. But, I can use it in Firefox.
  4. I had pushed a folder in Github. But, it isn't showing. Why?
  5. I had created a server in Discord. I had added some peoples. They didn't leave. But, those people aren't showing in user list.

I hope this answer may clear what type of question is on-topic.

Markup language questions aren't necessarily off-topic here. This might be an area with overlapping scopes between the two sites.

@Lundin but, software codidact is for programming including markup language. And, poweruser for "OS related" Q&A. So, simply i said that its off-topic here

I agree that HTML questions should be posted on software.codidact, not sure about Latex. Something can be on-topic on several sites at once.

@Lundin Yes! I agree with that but, i just said what i think
