Switch off automatic redirection to search result in DuckDuckGo
I intermediately have a problem with DuckDuckGo. Instead of showing me the list of search results it sometimes directly jumps to one of the search results, without giving me a chance to check if the web address looks reasonable.
One example of such an automatic redirect is if I search for \namedef
:
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=\%40namedef
This will land me on another site, even tough I would rather see a list of search results.
Can this behaviour be switched off somehow?
P.S. I have already switched off "Instant Answers"

You are accessing this answer with a direct link, so it's being shown above all other answers regardless of its score. You can return to the normal view.

You have already given the answer, and I have just found that it is documented under the Search Syntax section:
Use
\
to go to directly to the first search result. For example,\futurama
.
After a bit of experimentation, I think the \
in my search term is the problem. This acts as a shortcut for the "I'm feeling ducky" option.
Workarounds:
-
remove
\
from the search term -
place the search term in quotation marks, e.g.
"\namedef"
