added additional information
  • I have just noticed that Outlook is displaying a strange item generated in a folder named EventCheckPoint and also displaying `<This item contains active content.`.
  • Hovering the folder name it indicates `Message Class: IPM.EventCheckPoint `.
  • Opening it leads to a completely empty new message window.
  • Any idea what this could be?
  • This is Microsoft Outlook for Microsoft 365 and it is my work machine so the item might have been sanitized.

  • Another important detail is that this item is part of a search folder (Today), that indicates only messages that were received in the current day.

Strange item in an Outlook folder called EventCheckPoint
I have just noticed that Outlook is displaying a strange item generated in a folder named EventCheckPoint and also displaying `<This item contains active content.`.

Hovering the folder name it indicates `Message Class: IPM.EventCheckPoint `.

Opening it leads to a completely empty new message window.

Any idea what this could be?

This is Microsoft Outlook for Microsoft 365 and it is my work machine (this might have been sanitized).
