I feel like there isn't a lot of point to trying to design this sort of thing up front or have a "vision" for it. `fstab` says the Ext4 partition is using the default options. I have no idea what the imaging and un-imaging(?) process actually does, nor do I really know what's implemented by NTFS itself vs. Windows when it comes to Windows file permissions. (more) |

They were executable-by-default when I did it - for example, double-clicking my old text files keeps giving me dialogs about the files being executable and asking whether I want to display or run them. The question seems to be asking about cloning a *drive*, not just the Windows installation.
