Comment Post #291319 It can especially be hard to remember, for example, that Microsoft owns GitHub now.

Comment Post #290098 I feel like there isn't a lot of point to trying to design this sort of thing up front or have a "vision" for it. New software releases are unpredictable, and organizing tags at that level of detail doesn't seem to accomplish much when there are still so few questions anyway. I definitely appreciate ...

Comment Post #289720 `fstab` says the Ext4 partition is using the default options. I have no idea what the imaging and un-imaging(?) process actually does, nor do I really know what's implemented by NTFS itself vs. Windows when it comes to Windows file permissions.

Comment Post #289315 I think you're very right that the question is hand-wavy. I offered as much information as I could based on what I thought you were looking for, and then kept looking back at the question and thinking "this part is exactly what OP doesn't want and considers unnecessary hand-holding", then looking bac...

Comment Post #289388 The question seems to be asking about cloning a *drive*, not just the Windows installation. A "C Windows drive", alternately described as a "C SSD", most likely also includes at least the Program Files folder, and likely the Desktop and other "standard" folders (I'm guessing from OP's apparent level ...
