I agree that this would not be a good _first_ answer, but, as I noted, other people had already covered possible solutions while continuing to use Windows 10. I think it's perfectly reasonable, when someone asks "How do I do X, in order to achieve Y?" to reply "Doing X isn't really the best way to ac... (more) |

@#53305 See my answer for a longer version, but tl/dr: The part about line count is pretty clearly describing a formatting phenomenon that was true with the settings used in some past version (or even just a draft) of the book, but is not true in the version of the book that @#53696 is looking at. Th... (more) |

A: Why's the image preview on mouseover bigger and clearer than the image itself? Although the website seems to be doing something different now (or possibly even based on our different browser settings), the common functionality leads me to believe this basic answer is correct: The site is deliberately coded to cause right-clicking an image to give you a link to a crappier versio... A: How to stop all automatic Windows Update restarts on a Windows 10 Pro machine? Others have posted some workarounds that directly answer your question, but my own answer to the implied deeper question ("how do I prevent my [currently Windows 10] machine from rebooting during a long OctoPrint job") is simpler: Use a better, less controlling OS. OctoPrint is available for Linux, a... (more) |

@lstiak I'm pretty sure that's not OP is looking for -- from the repo description, that allows you to embed an image in a MathJax equation; OP is looking for software to _convert_ an image (representing a mathematical equation) _into_ a MathJax equation. (more) |

"No associated Stack Exchange site from which to transfer your content?" At the bottom of my profile page, there's a section labeled "Link with Stack Exchange," but it says > You can't link a Stack Exchange account to your account on this site because there is no associated Stack Exchange site from which to transfer your content. Wouldn't that be https://superuser.... (more) |

Also, you say "Hacking tools are execute from terminal. While Powerusers is for OS's Q&A." It seems like you (a) associate command-line-interface programs primarily or exclusively with "hacking tools" (in the "defeating security" sense of the word "hacking"), and (b) think that there's some sort of c... Is there any way to delete a comment in Word without deleting its replies? I'm responsible for combining edits to a document from a number of coauthors, accepting or rejecting any changes (and deleting any comments) that don't require further discussion, and recirculating a version with only those comments and tracked changes that either still require discussion or identify... A: Why can reversing the order of the same words 1. lower the total character count, and 2. eliminate the short last line of a para.? There are actually multiple questions here, each with a different (though related) answer: Q1. Why does the last line disappear and/or the character count shrink In the example you provided in your screenshot? Answer: It doesn't. Look at the image you posted. The number of lines is identical (a... (more) |
