Comment Post #285124 You would basically need the proposal for a new scope, name and icon before asking both communities about their final agreement to the merger. This means there is no need to solve the problem right now, but one could already think about it.

Answer A: Why do simple calculations take such a long time in Matlab 2020 on my computer?
I have a more powerful computer and Matlab 2020 does the simple calculation with reasonable speed on it: >> tic;6+4;toc; Elapsed time is 0.000156 seconds. Therefore I think it's simply the Matlab environment that is too heavy for your computer and not a problem with Matlab 2020 itsel...

Answer A: Turn off proofing for quotations in Word
If you want to suppress the squiggly lines for a certain part of your document, select that part and then choose Review/Language/Set Proofing Language and tick "Do not check spelling or grammar". That will switch the squiggly lines off for this part.
