Question How can I get Windows 10 to stop displaying the wrong time on bootup?
Whenever I boot up Windows on my laptop, the clock is set to UTC time. This happened no matter what timezone I was located in at the time. However, when I boot up Ubuntu on the same device, I got the correct time. On Windows, the clock is set to automatically be set to the timezone I have selected...

Question How can I make moving from Chrome to Firefox as simple as possible?
I want to start moving away from using Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers, and instead move to Firefox. Firefox is an open-source web browser run by a non-profit, as well as the only major competitor to Chrome, and I'm interested in supporting that by actually using it. However, all of my h...

Comment Post #289586 There already is a "type" specified, and when I added an "input type", WAVE still threw the error. Why don't those satisfy the conditions for WAVE?

Question Why is WAVE throwing an "empty button" error when there's a type attribute specified?
Running the WAVE browser extension on a site, I'm getting an "Empty button" error on a search submit box: Page with a search box opened. A red WAVE error is showing under the search submit icon, and an explanation of the error and the relevant HTML code are visible on the page, both provided below...

Question How can I speed up Git cloning in Windows?
Since my Ubuntu system is currently fried, and running a live boot was encountering problems, I am forced to resort to attempting to clone a Git repository on a Windows 10 system. I installed Git for Windows, and went through the installation process. I then authenticated with GitHub, and went to clo...

Question Why can't I change any data on this micro SD card or format it?
I have an old microSD card that I'm trying to wipe. I've backed up all the files to somewhere else, and now I'm trying to clear the card. However, I can't seem to change anything on the card. When I plug it into my computer, I can move around files and delete them normally — or, you'd thi...

Comment Post #287151 I do sometimes play something through Steam; I just have no interest in Xbox specifically. This sounds like it'll disable all gaming functionality entirely, which slightly defeats the purpose of a gaming laptop. Also, I'm pretty sure the free Xbox thing is specifically for the Legion.

Comment Post #287144 Please don't rewrite the original post to respond to someone; it makes it harder to follow context when the original post is buried in the revision history. Comments have a 1,000 character limit and have blockquotes enabled. I think samcarter acted reasonably in this case. The cross-posted questio...

Question How do I make Xbox stop telling me that I have a free game pass on Windows 10?
On my Lenovo Legion, every single time I boot up Windows 10, I get confronted by an Xbox app popping up and telling me that I have a free game pass or something and to log in to claim it. Every time, I just close it and ignore it; I know nothing about Xbox, have no intention of learning anything abou...

Answer A: Wasn't this deleted question salvageable?
Plagiarism isn't something that we want to encourage. By "fixing" the post and having someone else add the required attribution, it sends the message to the OP that copying content from elsewhere is acceptable, which is absolutely not the message we want to be sending. The help center contains the...

Comment Post #282105 Repro'd (it's the same link as in the footer). It's working on other communities, so I'm guessing it's a seeding problem. I'll ping a dev to take a look.
