Comment Post #285587 @#53919 Never mind, cyan seems to work fine for both modes. Thanks again for your quick answer!

Comment Post #285587 You don't happen to know if there is an equivalent to this setting which I could put in a user*.css file? (ultimately I would like to change the colour only in dark mode). I can ask a new question if you prefer.

Comment Post #285412 About your point 2.2: instead of going to `about:support` and then looking for the profiles, it might be easier to directly go to `about:profiles`

Comment Post #285408 @VLDR As you can see from comments like https://powerusers.codidact.com/comments/thread/5490#comment-15648 , there where a couple of different ways in which users interpreted the first version of the question. What might be a clear question for you, might not be clear for others. Embrace this and don...

Comment Post #285408 @#53696 In the context of a Q&A site an "outdated answer" refers to a solution that at the time of posting worked fine, but since then circumstances changed and the solution either no longer works or there are better solutions now available. Using this reaction for an answer which does not meet this ...

Comment Post #285408 @VLDR It is NOT outdated! Please don't abuse reactions like this. If you don't like an answer. As @Monica explained above, you can up- or downvote to show how satisfied you are with the quality of a post.

Comment Post #285448 > When I join the meeting, I get a "waiting for the host to start the meeting" message and then when I return to it later the meeting is in progress. That's good. So you are in the waiting room before, which means that you probably don't have to worry about the daily disconnections from the serve...

Comment Post #285448 I'm not sure if this is something the host can configure, but in a conference which ran for 3 days straight (people from different time zones would join at different times for the talks), the meeting was interrupted by zoom about every 24 hours and people had to rejoin. Maybe that's something for you...

Comment Post #285448 Maybe a wired connection would be more stable? There are LAN-to-USB connectors or docking stations which might allow you to hook your tablet to a wired connection (I'm not an Android user, so no actual data how good that works)

Comment Post #285448 Just an observation from way too many zoom meetings: It seems that whether or not one is automatically reconnected to the meeting correlates with the duration of the network disruption, the magic threshold seems to be around 10 seconds or so

Comment Post #285408 @#53696 Can you please retract the "Dangerous" reaction? While it might be true that the answer does not solve your problem, there is no dangerous advice in it. Please limit the usage of this reaction to things that are actually dangerous.

Comment Post #285408 There are even applications like the newsreader Vienna, who will by default open links in the background, so you can just click without any modifier keys. A really useful feature. I'm quite surprised that this isn't a thing in the windows world.

Comment Post #285408 Some systems, like mac, support cmd+click in many applications to open links in the background. So not sure if the behaviour you describe can really be called "universal".

Comment Post #285382 Videos are normally compressed. You can imagine this as reusing elements. If the same element is present in a lot of frames, you only have to save this information once.

Comment Post #285358 The fill bucket provides the exact same options for the threshold and the composition. However I would always first select the area you want to fill with the magic wand to see that the selection is correct and then use the bucket to filll the whole selection.

Comment Post #285363 If the text is not too long, erase it completely, import the image into a vector drawing tool like inkscape and retype the text. Vectorised text always gives better results as pixelated text. People will be able to zoom in, copy it, etc.

Comment Post #285124 @#54706 Good question! Maybe one can make a contest/vote for a new name with "powerusers" as one of the options? While PU might look like a natural choice due to the bigger scope, I think one important point in making such a merge successful is that all users of the new community know that it is thei...

Comment Post #285182 Can we really assume that they are originally written by the same individual? They are posted on other sites by many different accounts and they never react to any comment asking if they are the same user.

Comment Post #284851 That sounds much more prone for breakage in the time frame of a decade than an emulator for an app, as it will rely on some external service.

Comment Post #284851 As far as I know, whatsapp does not only need an android (or ios) device, but also requires a phone number. This sounds like the more complicate hurdle. If you can't solve this, it does not seem worth the effort to worry about emulators. That's why I am asking if you already solved it.
