Used SpaceMonger ran as an admin, so in theory it should iterate through all files, hidden or not. The issue seems to be that even as an admin, I am not able to access some files such as shadow copies / restore points or at least this is my understanding. (more) |

A: Why does the free space on the system partition is way less than disk space minus space used by all folders/files in Windows 11? It seems that a normal Windows user cannot access some files even if they are an administrator, so some files such as those related to system protection (restore) and Shadow Copies. The space required by these special files becomes more obvious when running as an Admin: Settings -> Storage -> Show... (more) |

Why does the free space on the system partition is way less than disk space minus space used by all folders/files in Windows 11? On my work laptop, I have realized that I have a rather low disk space on the system drive. I have run a disk usage application (Run as Admin) to try to understand what is taking so much space and it reports with more than 150 GB less space occupied by all files and folders than reported by Windows. ... Strange item in an Outlook folder called EventCheckPoint I have just noticed that Outlook is displaying a strange item generated in a folder named EventCheckPoint and also displaying `<This item contains active content.`. Hovering the folder name it indicates `Message Class: IPM.EventCheckPoint `. Opening it leads to a completely empty new message wi... (more) |

net::ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR for a single user when using an Angular + ASP.NET Core application Note: I am posting this here because I think this is more related to some configuration issue rather than a programming problem I have deployed an Angular (SPA) + ASP.NET Core application in a k8s cluster and it works fine for all the users so far (devs, testers, internal clients). However, for a ... (more) |

@#8049 Yes, Powershell is the way to go as suggested in [this Reddit thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/PowerShell/comments/f320ll/script_to_set_the_maximum_cpu_power_to_99/).
However, I think I found a better way (at least in terms of maintainability) and provided it as an answer. (more) |

A: How to quickly change the maximum processor state in Windows 10? While finding a way (e.g. through Powershell) to exactly change the Maximum process state, I think a better way is to have at least two power plans. This allows changing other settings as well for each case (normal vs. high power) without touching the scripts or the setup below. Assuming the one w... (more) |

Question | — |
How to quickly change the maximum processor state in Windows 10? I am using a Lenovo Legion laptop and one thing I have noticed is the fan working at full speed from time to time. This seems to be related to the CPU jumping to a high frequency to deliver more processing power. Since I rarely need all that power, I have changed the power plan to not allow CPU to... (more) |

A: Safe to delete [e0fe99ff-3983-409E-97D9-AA6223751C46].msi? MSI files can be unpacked using 7-Zip or similar software. The embedded files might offer additional insight into what the MSI actually is. (more) |

Question | — |
How to disable email grouping (in conversation) in Gmail web mail for certain senders? I have just realized that I have overlooked some important e-mails due to Gmail's automatic e-mail grouping in conversations. Typically, this is a pretty useful feature to reduce the count, but some senders are not aware of this and send very similar e-mails (same sender, same subject) despite hav... (more) |

I cannot lose the HTML formatting. However, your question gave me an idea about losing the Rich Text which should be dealing with embedding images. I will try something related to not using Rich Text. (more) |

Question | — |
How to block all images in Outlook by default? By default, Outlook client does a great job at blocking images coming from external sources (ensures no tracking, no potentially disturbing images etc). Some folks within my organization are using their signature all the time (including for replies) and that eats quite a lot of height and sometimes b... (more) |

It seems that this one of those "common sense" features that everyone is asking, but Microsoft does not have time to implement - https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/16982542-backup-export-printing-archive-options . (more) |

I think there is a misunderstanding here. The direction applies to connections, not data. Connections are typically allowed in one direction only (e.g. your computer is allowed to connect to lots of Internet hosts on port 80.443, but the reverse is not true). However, once the connection is establish... (more) |

I think for most of the questions other reasons (rather than being off-topic) lead to being downvoted. Off-topic questions tend to be flagged and closed, not necessarily downvoted. (more) |
